Comes back sharply in grade after finishing second last in the G3 Cameron Handicap at Newcastle, where he was unwanted in the market and made no ground from the rear. The run prior was much stronger, winning an Open at Murwillumbah by two and a half lengths from Kairos Louie on soft ground. With three wins around the mile and two wins from three at this track and distance, he can rebound strongly. Can give this a big shake.

Gave a much better sight in an Open at Gold Coast last start, leading and being beaten just over a length by Cape Crusader. That followed a long last behind Golden Cross at Murwillumbah, so consistency remains the concern. Blinkers stay off and he has trialled at Deagon since, but three unplaced runs over the mile make him more a place hope than a win play. One for the exotics.

Two back he was safely held in a Benchmark 85 at this track, but that race reads stronger than this and he is now fourth-up with first-time blinkers applied. Proven at this track and distance and looks a major danger.

Comes off a commanding Benchmark 70 win at Toowoomba, tracking the lead before putting Madalsa away by just over three lengths. That backed up a narrow Benchmark 78 second to Liberty Park at Doomben, so the form is holding together. Wide draw is the main reason he profiles as a place hope.

Worked into third at Gold Coast last start, beaten three and a half lengths by Precise Star, but Naval Seal had his measure in the same race. His previous seventh in an NMW at this track had some excuse after covering ground and racing wide near the 1200m. He has placed often at 1600m without winning regularly, so a minor cheque looks the most likely outcome. One for the exotics.

Picked up nicely from well back when fifth in a country Open at Dubbo, beaten just under four lengths after being blocked early. His Randwick Benchmark 72 run prior was plain on the line but included interference and he now has first-time blinkers for his first Queensland start. The 1600m record is the knock, but he can run into a place.

Was well held at Toowoomba last start, leading to the turn before weakening into sixth and finishing seven and a half lengths from Worthy Enuff at long odds. She was also last at this venue two back after beginning slowly and racing wide throughout. Must improve sharply.

Resumes after two months since a good second at Murwillumbah, where he began awkwardly and still chased home Golden Cross by two and a half lengths at big odds. He had earlier run third in a Benchmark 85 at Doomben, so there is enough substance in the form. Wide draw hurts, but he has enough mile form for a place.

Resumed with a head second at Toowoomba after tracking the speed, and the stewards noted he was steadied approaching the 1000m. He was beaten as a well-fancied runner, but that was still a strong return and he is now second-up. Clear top pick with Angela Jones aboard.
