Races SRX Dubbo

Wendy Peel trained four-year-old gelding lining up for first race start. Comfortable trial winner. Expect a strong debut run.

First starter. Four-year-old gelding by Pierro out of Veneers. At the most recent trial finished eighth at Narromine over 800m. Prefer to see before recommending.

Dual acceptor. Racing first-up today. Finished off last campaign sixth of 11 at Sapphire Coast Super Mdn-Sw May 18 2025 over 1212m, soft track; 6 len behind Platinum Ridge carrying 53.5kg at $4.80. On debut second of 12 at Sapphire Coast Ctry Mdn-Sw May 4 2025 over 1007m, soft track; a long neck behind Giza with 53.5kg at $3.10. Looks set for a positive return from the right draw.

First starter by Stratum Star out of Flying Fuji. Only trial was March 6 at Dubbo when third over 860m. Favouring others from the awkward gate.

First starter by Tassort out of Slender. Runner-up in a trial at Narromine over 800m September 21. Trained on the course and stays in the mix.

Facing the starter for the first time. Three-year-old gelding by Showtime out of La Bella Rouge. At the most recent trial finished fourth on September 21 at Narromine over 800m. Doesn't shape as a strong winning hope today.

Resuming from a lengthy break. Only one run when ran last of 10 in a Ctry Mdn at Gunnedah on January 19 over 1000m, 6 len behind Kawatiri with 55.5kg at $21. Trialled well but happy to watch from the gate.

Had two starts to date. At very long odds at debut, 6th of 10 in a Mdn Hcp at Narromine on August 23 over 800m, slow going 3.5 len behind Badgers Bridge carrying 56.5kg at $61. Last start 2nd of 12 in a Mdn at Wellington on September 15 over 900m, on a slow track; 5.5 len behind Blind Squirrel carrying 57.5kg at $26. Poorly drawn and looks tested.

Mare back from a spell of five months. Has placed previously first up from a break. Finished off last campaign second last in a small field at Narromine F&M Mdn-Sw April 26 over 1100m, 5.5 len behind Rubelin with 56kg at $6.50. When resuming last campaign fifth of 8 at Kembla Grange Mdn January 10 over 1000m, 6 len behind At Her Mercy with 57.5kg at $7. Can sprint well fresh from the rails draw.

At the latest run 6th of 11 in a Ctry Mdn-Sw at this track on September 27 over 1000m, 7 len behind Patrika Express with 59kg at $8. The race before that crossed from a wide gate to lead but couldn't hold on when 3rd of 11 in a Ctry Mdn-Sw at this track on September 7 over 1000m, long-neck behind Mazort carrying 59kg at $14. Blinkers go on and finds a winnable race.

Most recently 7th of 12 in a Mdn-Sw at Narromine on September 21 over 1100m, 4 len behind Sutton Storm with 55.5kg at $7.50. Before that 2nd of 11 in a Ctry Mdn-Sw at this track on September 7 over 1000m, nose behind Mazort with 55.5kg at $13. Goes well at this distance and is capable of turning things around.

Last start 4th of 12 in a Mdn at Wellington on September 15 over 900m, slow going 6 len behind Blind Squirrel with 56.5kg at $81. The race before that 8th of 10 in a Mdn Hcp at Narromine on August 23 over 800m, slow going 4.5 len behind Badgers Bridge carrying 56kg at $101. Well held last time and others preferred.

Resuming after ten weeks in the paddock. Finished off last campaign when last of 9 at Warren Mdn-Sw July 21 over 1400m, soft track; 11 len behind Nothing Finer with 57kg at $61. When resuming last campaign seventh of 9 at Narromine Mdn-Sw June 22 over 800m, on heavy track; 4 len behind Blue Biddy with 57kg at $14. A big run will not surprise.

Third-up today. First-up 2nd in a small field in a Mdn-Sw at Port Macquarie on August 22 over 1110m, in the wet; 1.5 len behind Rosenblum with 59kg at $2.50. Second-up settled back and ran on when 5th of 8 in a Ctry Mdn at Tuncurry on September 11 over 1000m, 2.75 len behind Heart Of Jenni carrying 55kg at $4. Fitter now and can return to form.

Dual acceptor. Was at a huge quote at debut, 10th of 12 in a Mdn-Sw at Narromine on September 21 over 1100m, 8 len behind Sutton Storm with 59kg at $101. Looking elsewhere.
