That followed another narrow second in a Benchmark 68, where he was near the top of betting and only pipped late. The distance is still the query, but he has placed four times from seven attempts at it and beat Starman and Superalloy last start. Only needs to hold his form to prove very tough to beat.

Put the race away well here last start, beating Kingsland by two lengths despite jumping awkwardly and racing wide. That backed up a solid second at this track when sent out favourite and beaten just under a length by Miss De Medici. Honest track profile keeps him in the minors.

Returns from a six-month break after a ninth in a Benchmark 78 at Eagle Farm, where he was favourite but could not quicken over 1600m on soft ground. His previous win over 1615m at Doomben in a 3yo+ Class 3 shows the ability is there, and a Toowoomba Inner Track trial win is useful readiness evidence. Last-start favourite defeat is the knock, but his record keeps him in play.

Returns from a lengthy spell after a Dalby Open fourth behind Tara Jasmine, beaten three and a half lengths after being held up leaving the 400m. She had earlier been second in Open grade at Warwick, beaten just over half a length in a small field. Old Open form and track-and-trip record are sound, but fitness has to be taken on trust.

Bounced back strongly at the Sunshine Coast, winning a Class 3 by two and a half lengths from Vin Santo on soft ground. That followed a Doomben fifth in the same grade when she was at generous odds and had trouble getting clear near the 150m. New track and distance are the tests, but she has claims.

Drops from Saturday company after finishing second last at Doomben, beaten just over five lengths at big odds after covering ground. Her Eagle Farm fourth two back in a Benchmark 78 was much better, beaten only half a length when making ground from back in the field. Needs a clear rebound.

Comes out of Saturday company after a fifth in an FM Benchmark 78 at Doomben, beaten a length and a half at 71-1 after charging home from well back over 1110m. Her previous fourth at Doomben was also honest without threatening. Needs conditions to suit.
