Worked home only fairly first-up in an Open over 1400m at Eagle Farm, finishing sixth behind Kintyre after beginning slowly and covering ground on soft going. That was Saturday company, so this is an easier assignment, but the Sunshine Coast run before the break was a last placing, beaten over 12 lengths. Needs to improve on recent form, but the class relief gives him place claims.

Led and gave a sight in an Open at Doomben last start, finishing fifth behind Express Payment and beaten just over half a length at generous odds. That was a sharp lift on his Eagle Farm NMW eighth over 1800m, where he weakened out of it. Needs to prove he can back that up over this trip.

Closed off from well back for sixth in a CG Benchmark 78 over 1400m at the Gold Coast, beaten three and a half lengths at long odds after racing keenly. Place hope.

Resumed with a determined Benchmark 78 win at Doomben, beating Bluepinot by a long neck despite being unwanted in the market. He had earlier won a Benchmark 80 over 2406m at Eagle Farm, so the stable has him holding form across different trips. Wide draw and trip profile keep him just below the top hopes.

Has twice gone close at Doomben, most recently second to Liberty Park by a long neck as the well-supported favourite in a Benchmark 78. Two back he was pipped by Rock Hard Love in a Class 5, so the consistency is there without landing the prize. Wide draw and a recent loss to Liberty Park temper the winning case.

Was sixth in an Eagle Farm NMW over 1800m last start, beaten four and a half lengths after jumping awkwardly on soft ground. Her previous Doomben sixth was more competitive, beaten just over two lengths when near the top of an open market. Recent finishes still make her a place-at-best chance.

Continued a strong local campaign when beaten a nose by Burleigh Magic in a Benchmark 70 at Toowoomba after starting favourite and copping a bump near the 150m. He had beaten Madalsa here by two and a half lengths the run before, also as favourite. Class rise is the query, but he is a key chance.

Made some ground first-up at Toowoomba in a Benchmark 75 over 1300m, finishing fifth behind Miss De Medici after being slow to begin and beaten just over two lengths. The run prior, over 1890m here, he was eighth and beaten just under eight lengths after giving away too much start. Still needs to lift sharply.

Was plain enough when fifth in an Eagle Farm NMW over 1800m, beaten four and a half lengths after being near the top of an open market. His Doomben fourth two back was better, coming from well back and making ground despite racing wide and being forced wider on the turn. Last run was only fair, but this setup keeps him in the place mix.

Resumed with a fifth in a Benchmark 70 at Toowoomba, beaten five lengths by Burleigh Magic after beginning awkwardly and being eased late. The start prior at Gatton was a last placing over 2000m, beaten over 11 lengths, so there is a fair bit of recent form to turn around. Needs improvement.

Had genuine excuses when fifth to Liberty Park in a Doomben Benchmark 78, beaten a length and a half after missing the start and being held up in the straight as favourite. His previous Eagle Farm fourth behind Livalittle was also sound, closing from well back on soft ground. Easier grade and light weight make him the benchmark.
