Steward's Comments: Slow to begin. Raced four wide without cover. When questioned rider John Allen explained, from the wide barrier it had been the intention to settle in a mid-field position. J Allen stated after not being the best to begin he eased his mount in an attempt to trail the race favourite Light Moves, however when runners improved to his inside he was left racing four wide without cover passing the 1000m. He added at this point he felt the pace of the race eased and for this reason, rather than restrain to the rea.
