Steward's Comments: Jumped the 15th obstacle awkwardly. Jumped the 19th obstacle awkwardly. Rider Tom Ryan reported that the gelding was up significantly in weight, and he felt that coupled with Point Nepean (IRE) not being entirely comfortable on the heavy track conditions, were the main reasons for the gelding not finishing its race off as expected. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities other than the gelding lost its near fore plate during the race.
