Steward's Comments: Jockey reported that she had been instructed to ride the gelding in a midfield position. She stated that after beginning better than expected, mount, which was competing up in distance, commenced to travel keenly and obtained the lead without being overly pressured. She added that the gelding continued to travel keenly throughout the early and middle stages whilst also inclined to hang inwards throughout.

When questioned regarding his riding and, in particular, the vigour he used over the concluding stages, rider stated that when he identified runner commencing to shift in he desisted from testing his mount just prior to the finishing line, anticipating that runner would continue to shift in and crowd his mount.
