Just off the leaders at the 400m however couldn't make up ground from fifth 2.7L at Toowoomba 0 - 55 over 1300m. Big effort to finish the race off well for third after getting back in-running 1.4L at Moree Cl1 over 1300m.

Steward's Comments: Near the 500m was eased momentarily. Upon entering the home straight improved onto the heels and steadied. Rdr reported instructed to have gelding where comfortable and after beginning only fairly from the wide barrier, elected to steady and shift in to attain cover at the back of the field-added able to shift out to attain clear running round home turn and mount finished the race off well.

Steward's Comments: Shifted outwards at the start, hampering MAKING HISTORY. Near the 900m, was carried wider on the track by TARA I AM which hung outwards and commenced to race ungenerously thereafter. Whilst racing ungenerously near the 700m, shifted inwards and bumped PULL THE CATCH. Raced wide in the early stages. A post-race examination revealed HONOURBEFORE GLORY to have lost its right hind shoe in running.
