First up last campaign ran last of 9 at Tauranga June 21 over 1600m, on heavy track; 37 len behind The Trendsetter carrying 58.5kg at $38.40. Should be right in the finish.

Returns from a 44-day let-up. Most recently 12th of 18 at Riccarton Park on November 12 over 1600m, on a slow track; 6 len behind Eight Pence carrying 57kg at $30.90. Before that 4th of 12 at Ashburton on October 31 over 1600m, slow going 6 len behind La Voisin with 58.5kg at $4.80. Willing to give him another chance.

Four-year-old gelding (Savabeel - Malambo). He has nine recent trials prior to his debut today. Was runner-up in a trial at Phar Lap Racecourse on December 9 over 1200m. Importantly has a nice gate and is sure to be well fancied.
