Last appeared eight months ago when he made some progress and finished third in a steeplechase (3922m) at this track, that effort coming on the back of a moderate seventh in a hurdle (4023m) at Fairyhouse. Key contender.

Returns from a break under the care of a new trainer. Overall strike-rate is moderate but he has ability. May well prove too smart for these first up.

Eight-year-old gelding who punters have shunned in recent jumps races, and has performed accordingly. Looks safely held again this time.

Had a streak of wins broken last time out when fifth in a steeplechase (4626m) at Clonmel. Looks a leading contender and bold showing expected.

Returned from a layoff last time out in a hurdle (4828m) at Galway, finishing fifth when partnered by today's rider Shane O'Callaghan. Fitter and will be tough to beat this time.

Finished off last preparation finishing well back and continued the poor form in two outings since a spell. Not doing enough to warrant consideration.
