Controlled the race from the front and won easily 2.9L at Murwillumbah Ctry Bm58 over 1010m. Took over at the 400m however found one better when runner-up 2.3L at Grafton Ctry Cl3 over 1120m Heavy 8. Is a first-up winner.

Quest re riding entrance to straight, rider stated his mount improved up the inside Rocky Rogue and onto the heels of Sea of Qi, which had failed to improve as anticipated. Adding, he directed mount out at that point, bumping Rocky Rogue wider, to heels & provide his mount with sufficient racing room. Stewards accepted explanation, however cautioned re abrupt nature of shift & reminded him of obligation to ride all mounts in a ma.
